Grants

Grants are available for students with a yearly household income of £60,005 or less, with the amount available operating on a sliding scale. Those with the lowest household income (under £25,000) will be entitled to the maximum grant of £2,835. Around half of all new students are expected to benefit from grants so make sure you have yours!

Bursaries

Most universities offer a bursary but these do vary from institution to institution. All are based on household income and some consider other criteria. The University of Southampton operates two bursary schemes from which you could benefit.

UK Bursary

If your household income is £25,000 or less per year you are eligible for a bursary of £1000 for every year of study to which the £3,145 tuition fee applies.

If your household income is between £25,001 and £32,000 per year you are eligible for a bursary of £500 for every year of study to which the £3,145 tuition fee applies.
